We’re excited to announce that the Sept/Oct issue, which hits newsstands at the end of the month, will debut a column by Dr. Cocktail himself, Ted Haigh. In keeping with his obsession with all things vintage, Ted will be helping us rediscover forgotten cocktails of the past. The first column delves into the history of the Fix and features a couple of fantastic recipes with Doc’s own unique twist. If you’re a subscriber, look for it in the mail soon; otherwise stop by your local newsstand to pick up a copy—the Doc never disappoints!
Very cool. Look forward to it!
ReplyDeleteI found the first issue on a newstand; but, have had no luck finding the second.
ReplyDeleteMight I suggest approaching some independent book sellers like Cody's or Stacey's, in the San Francisco area.
Though, a bi-montly Dr. Cocktail column is too good for me to miss and I have now subscribed, so the point is moot for me.
Erik
Thanks for subscribing, Ejellest!
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, in San Francisco we're available in B. Dalton at One Embarcadero Center, Barnes and Noble at 2550 Taylor St (Fisherman's Wharf) and Borders at 200 King Street (across from SBC Park). We're in the Food & Wine section of the magazine racks.
I'll follow up with those shops you mentioned. If anyone wants to see Imbibe for sale at a favorite shop you frequent, be sure to let us know and we'll follow up with the store manager.
Update: I've phoned Cody's and Stacey's in San Francisco and both stores carry Imbibe. Look for our new Sep/Oct issue on their shelves in the Food & Wine section.
ReplyDeleteHave all the issues been mailed yet? We're charter subscribers, but no Sept/Oct issue has yet arrived. I'll start getting the D.T.s soon ...
ReplyDeleteHi Chuck,
ReplyDeleteWe sent your copy on 8/12, so you should have it in hand already. I'm sorry to hear it hasn't gotten to you. I've e-mailed you to confirm your mailing address and once that's verified, I'll get a copy in the mail to you right away.
